Not local, unless you're in Spain

Union Market on 12th and 7th had/has Iberico Ham. This famed spanish ham always gets the same remarks here in the US. If you've had it, $100 a pound seems like a steal. If you've never tasted it, $100 a pound seems like a rip off. We spent a week in Spain, gorging ourselves on pig (which has spent it happy life gorging on wild acorns), and it was hard not to stuff it in our luggage (which would have been hysterical since BA lost our luggage). My recommendation, buy an eighth of a pound, let the fat melt on your tongue, and enjoy it with a good friend. Don't cook it, don't wrap anything in it, and probably don't bother with the bread, just stick it in your mouth and leave it for a few moments.

And the stuff that they are importing over here, it is the Oscar Meyer stuff of Spain. Go, enjoy, its hard not to love Spain and its feral pigs...
