Its another windy day here on the 4th Floor and we just lost our first tomato to the wind. The eggplants and tomatoes are being whipped around but seem to be holding out. There wind has been much worse at times but this is probably the most wind they have experienced with fruit. So, don't look out the window and "Watch out below".
I've shored up some of the droppier and fruttier plants (why yes those are pantyhose) and just brought two of the plants inside. The tomato plant has has a tough go and is very tall. The basil plant is my lifeline to yummy pesto so in it came.
Update: Everything is doing alright and is surviving in the wind. The supports made a big difference though the tall tomato plant is still inside.
